Good Samaritans of Dark Ages

Parked his bicycle on the road side, he was about to enter the home..
"Bang"... that noise which literally trembled him.. As always he ran back to the road..
Hell !  ... Accident...A car is flipped upside down... his heart started beating faster... could hear the cries for help.. no one in the vicinity to assist.. he runs to the scene.. that courage, that adrenaline boost, he don’t know from where he got it. Just a motive... lend a helping hand..

As he gets closer, that view flashed thru his mind, of a bunch of people drained in blood. He could feel the numbness in his legs.. What if they are severely injured.? What I am going to do?

As he reached near the car, two other neighbours were also on the move. Great... there are 3 in the car. and he saw them trembling in pain.. added with the ramming sound of the car engine..

Have to do something.... he tried opening the doors.... Damn! they are locked...  gave a hard pull....  no .. nothing happened.

yeah! there is a rock .. he breaks open the glass pulls them out. The tremor of the victims, he could feel that.....  yea they are safe ... with minor injuries..

Call an ambulance somebody yelled....

In matter of minutes the ambulance came... all three taken to the nearby hospital...
Police, they came last as usual...

That fulfilling smile on the face of all who volunteered... and the calm looks which later follows... it has that note” when you are in need too... ”

The bliss, in mind can drive him for days. With the heavenly feeling he walks home.

Days later when he was passing by, he meets someone who is really in need in the streets, turns his back as he is in a hurry. Throughout his travel he regrets his doings, without knowing that “In Kaliyuga, the help he lent is more than what the era demanded. He attained his Moksha with a single aid. Who knows someday when he faces death, bleeding on a footpath or a crushed vehicle, it is the humans or the stray dogs which come first to ease his pain fast.... ?“
